diamond jubilee

In a couple of weeks we will have a big celebration called the diamond jubilee and it is celebrated for the Queen of England giving 60 years of her life to run our kingdom.

In our area and other areas to they will be having a street party to celebrate this wonderful achievement there will be:

drink

dancing

band

chatting

tombola

raffles

competition

fancy dress  

I hope it will be really good

A bit about the Queen of England:

the Queen has two birthdays, one on the 21st April which she has a private celebration and the other is in June with the Trooping of the colours (a special parade in London)

just to let you my capoeira team (corda de ouro) is going to be playing at heigham park in norwich  there on the may day.One of my friends from capoeira said “I got inspired to do capoeira from when i saw it there last time”.

capoeira is a non-contact game were as karate is a game were you have to contact the other person.To many poeple capoeira means nothing it is a bit like a made up word maybe,capoeira is from brazil it is a martial art.

100 Word Challenge

I sat and watched as the sun went down. The sky was lit up with shades of oranges and pinks and yellows. The sea was calm and gently lapping at the sand. An owl suddenly flew past. It silently flew above the dunes. It was marvellous. I wish I could be free like the owl, I would fly high above the tallest mountain, skim the water of the sea and feel the cool water on my feet. But I was not. I wanted to live in a castle, have silk sheets and fresh fruit, I would dance at parties, laughing noisily with my friends. But I was stuck here, in my prison cell.

15th April 1912

It was marvellous to be on the ship on her last moments. It was like a castle on the sea. I felt a chill on my skin as I boarded the rickety life boat and approached the murky water. I was tired the screams of people were piercingly loud, they could be heard from miles around, they awake all night until I reached the warmth of the Carpathia.

 As she flew noisily down into the inky black sea, we sailed away on the Carpathia into the pink sunrise.

100 Word Challenge

It was a marvellous day, the sun shone down on the castle. Noisily the the pink birds flapped their wings and flew away. A parade of men came marching, they stopped at the castle and with a loud thud of one of the mens hand the castle doors opened. The marvellous sound of the trumpet filled the air, today the prince would be crowned king! All the villagers gathered in a great hall, there they sat on haystacks, they sat there waiting. There was suddenly a loud cheer as suddenly the new king walked into the room proudly.  There was a party that went on for many days. The Kingdom was rejoyced!

30 days around the world

Earlyer onthisyear we had a celebration that we have every year it is called 30 days around the world and it is where every 12 classes in the school get given a country to learn about and study that contry and make some interesting things for a display at the end all parrents come to see the infomation , paintings , leaflets , questions and answers we have found out and researched its a fun and arty week.

Our country was Vietnam. We did lots of work and found out lots about the country. Here is some of the things we found out about the country: They have lots of mountians. They drove cars not many people walked. Every year they would have o0ne monsoon season a monsoon season is were they have rainfalls. There villages are very small and very overcrouded. Their flag is red with a yellow star in the middle. Their capitalk city is Hanio. They dive on the right side of the road. They have wide canals ansd long thin boats. 

one very interesting fact was that my friend told was people lived on a floating bar or shop even pub so that when the moonsoon comes they do not have to worry about it because thier boat will just rize and with lots of other people doing the same thing their food supply keeps going because they can allways stop of on land to get more

We also did a grid refrence on findind diffrent parts in Vietnam such as Hanio, Cantho, Hochiminhoy, Dong Hoi.

Another thing that we did was we did Advantages and Disadvantages between lifestles on a river these are some of them.

about the titanic

In literacy our topic is the titanic,we are writing a newspaper about what happened.

People may think the titanic is just a ship but there were many people were aboard the ship when it sunk we also lost the famous captain smith.titanic has 2 other sisters,they are brittanic and olympic.

I have a question do you think if the titanic had not sank they would still be using it today?

On Board the titanic was a little girl called ruth she was 12 when they were on the life bouts she was separated from her mother and baby brother and little sister but..she helped a women who did not know were her baby was and gave a coal man her blanket. 

the people on the life bouts got  onboard the carpathia in the morning.many young ones lost their father because of the sinking or lost the brother and sisters   and any other relatives and never saw them again.

when the titanic sunk it came to rest 6Om away from each other.
